Answer: Introduction Clinical risk management refers to the practice of safeguarding the health and safety of the patients and identifying the potent factors that increase the perils of damage caused to patients (1). It identifies the measures that can be used a mean to protect the health and safety of health of patient and will assist in averting the mishaps caused in a health care organization. Clinical risk management methods There are various methods that are used for clinical risk management. Some of them are credentialing, use of quality medicines, effective strategies and policy formulation, prevention of infection, survey of patients etc. (2). These are some of the clinical risk management methods that are employed by health care organization. Incident Monitoring Incident Monitoring is the one most of the most appropriate approach for assessing adverse event risk in organizations. The database of organizations has accounts of incidents, which refers to the adverse conditions that occur in different departments. It is a n important qualitative and quantitative method that helps in averting the adverse conditions that occur in the organization and will help in protecting the health and promotion safety measures in the organizations (2). It helps in understanding the frequency of the adverse conditions that occur in the organizations. It is important to build trust and confidence among staff so that they will help in the routine reporting by the staff. It will help in reporting and analysing the adverse conditions. Staff meeting needs to be held to discuss the deviations that caused adverse condition, the probable and areas of deviations needs to be identified. Remedial measures need to be discussed and doctors need to be educated of the combati ve measures that will avert such adverse conditions in future (1). Conclusion This approach is a worthwhile effort since it is a critical and important duty of healthcare organizations to protect and safeguard the health and safety of patients. The incidents of adverse conditions need to be understood so that it avoided in future and better application of clinical risk management that will credibility and goodwill to the organization.
